Paws for Success
We will be following the Paws for Success as of behavior plan. We focus on the five character traits: BE RESPONSIBLE, SHOW RESPECT, DO YOUR BEST, BE TRUSTWORTHY, and PROTECT LEARNING TIME.
Each child will start the day on green. The colors and their meanings are as listed below.
Green: I followed my Paws for Success.
Yellow: I needed some reminders about my behavior. Warning.
Orange: I needed additional reminders and spent some extra time talking about how it will be fixed.
Red: I stayed in for recess to discuss how to make the situation better. A plan may be discussed with parent, student, and teacher.
Blue: I was sent to the principal’s office to discuss behavior and parents will be receiving a phone call.
There will be ways of communicating this part of the day with parents/guardians. Please check their folder/planner each day and discuss it together. If a child had to move their strip there will be a piece of paper that corresponds what specific behavior occurred.
